About Sibford School

Sibford School

The Hill, Sibford Ferris, Banbury

Oxfordshire

OX15 5QL

United Kingdom

Sibford School is set in more than 50 acres of grounds and is surrounded by glorious Oxfordshire countryside.

Established in 1842 as a co-educational boarding school for the children of Quaker families, Sibford has, from the outset, been a centre of educational excellence.

Over the years the school has undergone many changes and developments, as it has adapted to meet the needs and aspirations of its pupils. However, the Quaker values that seek to recognise that of God in everyone have remained constant. Translated into everyday life, this means valuing and nurturing individual talents, respecting each other and helping each individual to become the very best they possibly can.

Today Sibford School accommodates both day pupils and boarders and is currently home to over 430 pupils aged between 3 and 18. We are privileged to be a varied and international community and welcome children of all faiths and none and from many different nations.

Sibford is an academically strong school. We achieve excellent results at GCSE and A Level and aim to cultivate a thirst for life-long learning. We have a well-established reputation for enabling pupils with a range of learning requirements but we are also passionate about the long-term mental health and emotional well-being of our pupils. At junior level, this means giving them space and time outdoors to enjoy their childhood. And, as they get older, it means helping them to become rounded, community minded, confident and respectful young people.

Our enviable location means that outdoor learning forms an important part of our junior, and, increasingly, our senior curriculum.
