Responsibilities

• Manage Operations activities: Supervise the activities on the site and ensure they are performed in accordance with the Operational Excellence and Health and Safety principles within Sibelco.
• Ensure the team, including own employees and subcontractors, perform their activities with health and safety as the highest priority.
• Motivate people to report unsafe or unhealthy behaviours or issues.
• Control activities to deliver the best competitive cost position and ensure remaining within budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions.
• Control waste management.
• Operate within the frameworks of the required permits.

Quality and Quantity

• Strive to achieve the optimal balance between customer demands and specifications in relation to quality, quantity, efficiency and cost.

People Management

• Support and encourage team members to increase team collaboration and their individual development and growth.

About You

• Practical understanding of the industrial mineral industry and knowledge of local quarry regulations and permit policies.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Previous Supervisory experience.
• Good People Management skills.
• Strong Communicator.
• Team Player.
• Proactive and able to work with minimum supervision.
