Are you passionate about strategic procurement and driving change? Join our team as Director Procurement – Northern Europe and play a key role in transforming and optimizing our sourcing strategies across the region. We are looking for an experienced procurement leader to drive procurement category management excellence, lead cross-functional projects, and deliver real value across our Northern European operations primarily concentrated in the UK, Norway, Finland and Sweden. This is a highly visible leadership role with a strong focus on value creation, business partnering, sustainability and compliance.

In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Define and implement regional procurement category strategies to secure supply, generate financial value, mitigate risks, and drive sustainability goals and compliance.
  • Partner with the operational leaders to support them in achieving the regional strategy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team across the sub-region, fostering talent and collaboration.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and embedment of Source to Pay process to further enhance the impact of procurement in Sibelco.
  • Ensure effective supplier performance management, negotiation, and contract compliance.
  • Support regional and customer-specific projects, including sustainability and M&A integration initiatives.
  • Uphold internal and external compliance standards, ensuring procurement aligns with company policies and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and people management, ideally within an international industrial context.
  • Proven track record in category management, supplier negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong project and change management skills, with the ability to drive transformation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
  • Experience working in a regional or international matrix environment, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to manage complexity with confidence.
  • Eagerness to adopt new technologies and enhance our procurement data quality.
