Siamo Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced

Senior Cashier /Legal Accounts Manager to join the accounts team of an established law firm in the Conwy area.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate and compliant client and office accounts, and supporting the Partners and wider management team with financial reporting and planning.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include, but is not limited to

  • Oversee and manage the firm’s day-to-day financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate client and office accounts in accordance with applicable legal accounts rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Process client receipts, payments, transfers and account reconciliations.
  • Complete regular bank reconciliations and manage month-end accounting procedures.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Process payroll or liaise effectively with external payroll providers.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
  • Ensure appropriate anti-money laundering (AML) procedures and financial controls are followed.
  • Provide financial information, reporting and support to Partners and the management team.
  • Review completion statements and estate accounts, working closely with fee-earners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or financial issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all financial records and processes are maintained to a high standard and in line with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
