Location: Bridgwater | Reach Truck Driver. Siamo Group are currently working with a well-known, prestigious client based in Bridgwater to assist with recruiting an experienced Reach Truck Driver to work in a frozen environment.
You'll use your reach truck skills to move, store and retrieve stock accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, care and efficiency.
Working hours and days: Monday-Friday, 8am-2pm.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a reach truck safely and confidently to move, store and retrieve stock in a freezer.
- Place goods in and remove goods from racking, including at height, following site procedures.
- Load and unload vehicles and move stock to the correct warehouse or dispatch areas.
- Check product, packaging and labels when handling goods, and report damage or discrepancies.
- Keep stock secure and maintain product quality in line with food safety requirements.
Skills and experience
- YOU MUST HAVE previous experience in a frozen warehouse environment.
- A current reach truck licence and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Experience using a LLOP is an advantage.
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, food safety and health and safety requirements.
- Good communication, organisation and numeracy skills.
- The ability to work accurately, meet deadlines and contribute effectively to a team.
