- Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 3:00pm | Friday, 6:00am – 12:00pm

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our busy production team in Sparkford. You'll be responsible for setting up and operating Press Brakes, CNC Routers and Laser Cutting machines, producing high-quality components from materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and plastics. Working from technical drawings and bills of materials, you'll ensure parts are manufactured accurately, meet quality standards and are completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and operate Press Brake, CNC Router and Laser Cutting machines
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components
- Check material size, grade and thickness before production
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials
- Inspect, measure and deburr finished parts
- Sort and route completed components ready for the next production stage
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and report any issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Work safely and follow all Health & Safety procedures
- Assist on other machinery and production tasks when required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience operating Press Brakes, CNC Routers or Laser Cutting machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, squares, protractors and tape measures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience using nesting software
- Knowledge of Sage, CIM50 or Microsoft 365
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment

You'll be a reliable, motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll have a strong eye for detail, take pride in producing quality work and be committed to working safely. This is a physically active role, so you'll need a reasonable level of fitness and mobility to carry out manual handling tasks and operate machinery safely.
