Role: Logistics Broker (Based in Hinckley) PERMANENT ROLE
Proven Sales track Record required.
Main Duties:
- Resource / allocate loads on a daily basis achieving best possible margin.
- Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations.
- Proactively look for other work through various trading platforms in use at the business.
- Engage with new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
- Maintain regular contact with Company haulier base to ensure continuous supply.
- Monitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays.
- Work to set targets in line with operational KPI s.
- Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS (Mandata).
- Duty on call on a rota basis.
Skills / Experience:
- Be fully PC literate with knowledge of common Microsoft systems and aptitude to quickly learn other transport management systems.
- Extensive experience in negotiating transport rates with subcontractors.
- Be fully conversant with the legislation around driver s hours, vehicles and Working Time directive.
- A detailed knowledge of the transport.
