We are recruiting on behalf of a UK leading casting manufacturer, based in Leicester, LE4. We are looking for a hardworking individual to join their team. The role covers two main parts of their operation:
- Preparing the casting moulds, by removing them from furnaces to the preparation stations.
- Using a cutting machine to cut the moulds.
You will be responsible for completing production cards accurately and ensuring jobs are done in a timely manner, as well as ensuring quality checking throughout your processes.
Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 16:30pm, Friday 07:30am – 12:30pm
Rate of Pay: £12.32 Per Hour

The Role:
- Preparation of moulds for casting.
- Produce cast metal products.
- Remove metal from castings.
- Accurately complete Production Cards accompanying each job, clearly identifying scrap or non-conformities.
- Maintain and operate machinery and equipment in a correct and safe manner, in line with operating procedures.
- Carry out daily general housekeeping and cleanliness of the department, ensuring all equipment, tools and materials are in a secure and safe condition.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as successfully within a team.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work regulations.
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a Manufacturing foundry environment.
