The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.

We are recruiting on behalf of a UK leading casting manufacturer, based in Leicester, LE4. We are looking for a hardworking individual to join their team. The role covers two main parts of their operation:

  • Preparing the casting moulds, by removing them from furnaces to the preparation stations.
  • Using a cutting machine to cut the moulds.

You will be responsible for completing production cards accurately and ensuring jobs are done in a timely manner, as well as ensuring quality checking throughout your processes.

Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 16:30pm, Friday 07:30am – 12:30pm

Rate of Pay: £12.32 Per Hour

The Role:

  • Preparation of moulds for casting.
  • Produce cast metal products.
  • Remove metal from castings.
  • Accurately complete Production Cards accompanying each job, clearly identifying scrap or non-conformities.
  • Maintain and operate machinery and equipment in a correct and safe manner, in line with operating procedures.
  • Carry out daily general housekeeping and cleanliness of the department, ensuring all equipment, tools and materials are in a secure and safe condition.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as successfully within a team.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work regulations.
  • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing foundry environment.
