We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Drivers for ongoing work with a well-established company operating a modern fleet of vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for the right driver, with the potential for long-term, ongoing work and the possibility of a permanent position.
The Role
- Delivering building materials to building sites
- Completing approximately 2–3 deliveries per shift
- Driving mainly curtain-sided vehicles
- Delivering to building sites with no handball required
- Working as part of a supportive transport team
- Following delivery instructions and completing all required paperwork
- Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is operated safely
- Working to agreed delivery schedules and company procedures
The fleet is less than three years old, providing drivers with access to modern and well-maintained vehicles.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, day work
- Average working day of approximately 9–10 hours
- Start times may vary depending on delivery locations and estimated mileage
- Occasional nights out may be required
- Weekend work is very rare
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Have held your licence for a minimum of 12 months
- Be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
- Have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence
- Have a good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
- Be comfortable delivering to building sites
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
A full induction will be completed on your first shift, and you will receive all relevant information and instructions before starting work. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work with the potential for ongoing employment.
