We here at Siamo are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Database Architect to join our client's IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting the core database infrastructure.
Working as part of a close-knit team of developers, you will lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of database architecture, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, and fit for the future. As the Senior Database Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and improving the database systems. You'll use your technical expertise to ensure our databases are secure, reliable, and perform efficiently, while supporting the delivery of our digital services. Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimise the systems and database infrastructure
- Build and manage ETL processes and system integrations
- Monitor database performance, security, and data integrity
- Ensure compliance with data governance and GDPR requirements
- Collaborate with IT teams and third-party providers on database solutions
- Provide technical guidance and support on database technologies
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Strong experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or similar relational databases
- Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data integrations
- Knowledge of database performance tuning, security, and backup procedures
- Understanding of data governance, GDPR, and data management best practices
- Experience working with APIs and integrating multiple business systems
