Siamo recruitment are currently looking for Class 1/2 Drivers to join our client in the South West. This driving role involves transporting goods across the South West.
Responsibilities
- Work with a variety of trailers to deliver goods to retail sites, farms, Builders Merchants, construction sites and private addresses across the South West region. Every day brings something different!
- Secure loads with straps, nets, and other safety equipment to protect goods and ensure nothing shifts in transit.
- Carry out a quick vehicle safety check at the start of each shift using your company phone — helping to keep our fleet in great condition and your day running smoothly.
- Stay in touch with our transport team throughout the day, keeping them updated on progress so we can continue delivering an excellent service to our customers.
- Multi-drops
- 8 - 12 Hour shifts
- Loading and unloading using Forklift or HIABs
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of using a HIAB or willing to learn.
- Forklift experience.
- Experience delivering directly to client sites is a plus.
- A passion for excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Solid geographical knowledge to help you navigate efficiently and effectively.
