A new warehouse in Banbury is poised to become the heart of our operations, and we are recruiting for a proactive Warehouse/Dispatch Supervisor to help them embrace this exciting journey. About the Role:
As a Warehouse/Dispatch Supervisor, you will play a vital role in executing the successful launch of the new site. Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure that our operations are efficient and effective. This is a hands-on position that balances operational delivery with team supervision, process adherence, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include setting high standards, implementing best practices, and guaranteeing that customers receive the exceptional service they expect from the brand.
Day to Day Operations:
- Oversee daily picking, packing, and dispatch activities for wholesale, retail, and ecommerce orders.
- Ensure accurate picking and packing, correct labeling, and timely dispatch in accordance with carrier cut-off times.
- Manage workload planning and prioritisation to meet service level expectations during both regular and peak periods.
- Collaborate closely with carriers and couriers, as well as the Warehouse Manager, to facilitate a smooth outbound flow.
- Supervise and support warehouse operatives in the dispatch area, including both permanent and seasonal staff.
- Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide clear guidance and feedback.
- Aid in training new team members and offer ongoing coaching to uphold quality, accuracy, and safe working practices.
- Utilise WMS and scanning systems to manage orders, track progress, and update statuses accurately.
- Ensure team members consistently and correctly utilise systems.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining and implementing SOPs within the dispatch function.
- Support pre-go-live activities by familiarising yourself with existing dispatch processes and order flows.
- Participate in testing, training, and integrating systems and procedures at the new site.
- Actively contribute during the transition period to ensure stable and reliable outbound performance.
What We Need From You:
- A solid understanding of dispatch processes, order accuracy, and carrier requirements.
- Experience supervising or leading small teams in a dynamic operational environment.
- Confidence in using WMS and basic reporting tools, with strong attention to detail and numeracy.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure.
- A good awareness of health and safety regulations within warehouse or logistics settings.
- A willingness to be hands-on and physically active as part of your role.
- Forklift experience and licenses are preferred but not mandatory.
