We have an exciting new opportunity for your client based in Leicester, LE4. This is an organisation that manufactures products to the highest standards for the heavy plant industry across the UK and globally.
We are looking for a hard-working individual with a good eye for detail to join a friendly experienced team. The role will involve inspection of components using both mechanical and manual CMM devices, such as micrometers, verniers, gauges and callipers. There will also be inspections of goods in and ensuring good working order of inspection equipment and gauges.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Thursday 06:00am - 14:30pm
- Friday 06:00 - 11:30am
Rate of Pay: £13.80 per Hour
This is a temp to perm opportunity!
The Role:
- In process (First off/patrol) inspection of machined and fabricated parts.
- Reading of engineering drawings and symbols.
- Inspection of components using different devices (stated above).
- Calibration of various hand inspection tools.
- Reading customer specifications and understanding of the accurate measurements needed.
- Control of inspection equipment and gauges.
- Inspection of goods in.
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Reporting findings to the inspection team leader.
About you:
- Experience of working to ISO9001:2015.
- Able to read engineering drawings and symbols.
- Experience of using various devices, such as micrometers, verniers, gauges and callipers.
- Experience of using height gauges is desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Weld experience is desirable, although not essential.
- CMM experience.
- Inspections experience within engineering.
