We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation based in Measham. This role would suit someone with a strong transport background, ideally with experience managing home delivery operations and Class 2 driver fleets. You will be supporting the Transport Manager in overseeing daily transport activities and ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Transport Manager with the day-to-day transport operation
- Conduct daily driver pre-briefs
- Manage driver queries and issues, including compliance, vehicle checks, uniforms and vehicle standards
- Monitor and report any non-compliance issues
- Liaise with drivers, maintenance providers and breakdown recovery companies
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and recorded
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, compliance and service delivery
- Coordinate and support a fleet of 40+ drivers during busy morning dispatch periods
Requirements:
- Previous Transport Supervisor experience
- Knowledge of driver hours and transport regulations
- Experience managing a fleet operation in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and proactively
- Approachable, flexible and driven attitude
