Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes while maintaining a safe working environment., * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage.

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a warehouse management system.

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs.

• Assist in the organisation of warehouse space to optimise storage efficiency.

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

• Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required.

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.

• Proficiency in operating forklifts, with valid certification being an advantage.

• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair is desirable.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.

• Basic maths skills for inventory management tasks are essential.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely.
