About the Role
We are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our production team in Sparkford. You'll be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components from stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality assemblies. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Measure, prepare and assemble components ready for welding
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
- Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding method for each job
- Align and fabricate components to specification
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met
- Complete work orders accurately using the company's ERP system
- Follow production schedules and work to daily priorities
- Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain a safe working environment
- Support continuous improvement across the production team
- Assist with other production duties when required
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated and takes pride in producing quality work. You'll have:
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Experience welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
- Fabrication experience, including reading engineering drawings and assembling components
- Knowledge of appropriate welding materials and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A proactive approach with excellent timekeeping and attendance
Desirable
- Welding qualifications or professional certification
- Knowledge of metallurgy

Physical Requirements
