Reports to: Production Manager
Purpose: To operate the production machinery to manufacture products and develop a good working knowledge of our materials and processes. To ensure goods are picked, packed and labelled correctly. Take part in monthly stock audit and regular team briefings.
Main Duties:
- To ensure that jobs are completed on time and as per the production plan.
- To ensure that operations are carried out as specified on the job cards and that all materials are accurately identified, checked, weighed, loaded, decanted and labelled.
- To ensure job cards are accurately filled in and all relevant sections of the job cards are completed.
- To conduct testing on manufactured product to ensure it meets the required specification.
- To report any findings that are outside of the guideline specification to the quality manager.
- To ensure that historic mixing problems are not repeated.
- To ensure that materials and vessels are palatalised, stored in the correct locations and that all goods are in a fit condition for sale.
- To ensure the correct rotation of stock is implemented - first in, first out. No build-up of part tins.
- To ensure that the machinery and production areas are kept clean and that all drums are taken out and tools put away at the end of the day.
- To ensure goods are packed and labelled correctly, and make all relevant critical checks.
- To maintain good housekeeping at all times, and ensure work areas are kept clean and free from obstruction.
Principle Accountabilities: Individuals are responsible for ensuring that the duties they complete are carried out according to the company policies.
