Siamo Recruitment are working with an established wood distributor based in Cirencester. They are seeking a hardworking, talented individual to join their dedicated team as a Sawmill Operative. As a Sawmill Operative, you will work collaboratively to ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly and exceeds customer satisfaction. Training will be provided; however, experience within a production team is advantageous. Training and development are available, making this an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills within the production/manufacturing industry. - Location - Cirencester
- £12.21 per hour
- Monday - Thursday 07:00am - 18:00pm & Friday 07:00am - 16:30pm
- Free onsite parking
- Pension

Your role as a Sawmill Operative will involve the following duties:
- Quality checking all goods throughout and post manufacture
- Loading raw materials into the production process and potentially lifting/stacking finished pallets
- Running safety checks on machinery
- Machine operating safely and efficiently
- Preparing products for dispatch and loading pallets for delivery
- Liaising with supervisors regarding any issues
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Supporting team members regularly
- General yard duties
The ideal candidate for the Sawmill Operative position will have:
- Production operative experience is advantageous
- Previous experience working shift patterns is advantageous
- Quality control experience is essential
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Good attentiveness and a keen eye for detail
- Full UK Driving License and own transport
- Physically able to lift up to 20kg regularly
