We are currently seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our on-site team supporting a prestigious client based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven recruitment professional looking to further their career within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Working Hours
This role requires flexibility to work a weekly rotating shift pattern: 08:30-16:30 but flexibility is key (may include some weekend support).
Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Account Management
- Ensure the correct quality and number of staff are available to meet client requirements at all times.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the on-site client, attending operational meetings and proactively identifying service improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies and UK/EU Employment Law.
- Manage and report Management Information including KPIs, productivity data, training matrices, attendance, attrition, and disciplinary matters (weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting).
- Maintain ISO accreditation standards and site compliance processes.
- Recruitment & Workforce Management
- Advertise vacancies, manage applications, conduct telephone screening, and arrange on-site interviews.
- Interview candidates, clearly outlining role expectations and client requirements.
- Complete all new starter documentation in line with legislative and company compliance standards.
- Coordinate assessment days and site inductions.
- Confirm and book staff across all shift patterns to meet operational demand.
- Conduct first-week informal reviews and provide structured feedback to temporary workers.
- Organise and participate in weekly worker surgeries.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews following absence.
- Drive productivity and performance standards across the temporary workforce.
- Support with in site drug and alcohol testing.
- Administration & Payroll
- Process weekly payroll and manage associated administrative duties.
- Attend shift briefings and manage daily worker check-ins.

- The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service and relationship management skills.
- Be proactive, solutions-focused, and highly organised with strong forward planning ability.
- Be comfortable managing performance metrics and working within a commercially driven environment.
