Mobile Services Engineer in Northampton

We are currently looking for a Mobile Service Engineer for our prestigious client, who specialise in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and potable water systems. You will mainly be working in London and Southeast of the UK, travelling to sites in this area, with the requirement to travel to Head Office in the Midlands. There will be requirements to work away (accommodation provided).

The role will involve:

• Undertaking maintenance and remedial works on water treatment equipment.
• Involvement in pre-commissioning checks and testing equipment, logging accurate data.
• Liaising with customers on a daily basis as well as the service team, so good communication skills are essential.

This position will involve travel over the Southeast of England, and will require you to stay away overnight at times (accommodation and travel-related subsistence provided). Would ideally suit someone who lives in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton, or Buckinghamshire areas close to the southeast and able to get to the Head Office in Leicestershire easily.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and preparing your work based on the equipment specifications and system design drawings.
• Ensuring equipment and component installations are of acceptable quality and meet design specifications.
• Completing pre-commission checks prior to commissioning water treatment equipment.
• Sampling system water, checking water quality parameters, system operating temperatures and pressures, equipment integrity, and recording measurements.
• Condition survey for turnkey projects at client sites.
• Reinstating operation and maintaining efficient operation of the water treatment equipment.

You will join the Service team and will need to establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with all members of the team.

Requirements:

• Suitably educated to A-level or have an equivalent level qualification.
• Proven experience working with building services systems.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to provide examples of travelling and staying away for work.
• Full clean and valid driving license, valid passport/work visa that allows you to work in the UK.
• Disclosure and barring service clearance is a pre-requisite for access to several of our client sites.
