Maintenance Operative / Facilities Operative in Luton

Maintenance Operative Temporary Contract Location: Cranfield University Pay: £15.97 per hour Hours: 8:30am 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary Siamo Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities Maintenance team at Cranfield University . Responsibilities Collect and deliver furniture, equipment, machinery, goods, hazardous chemicals and gases to departments across the University. Set up rooms with furniture, fixtures and fittings as required. Erect and dismantle equipment for graduations, events and other University activities. Carry out general building maintenance tasks, including clearing, cleaning and jet washing areas . Undertake window cleaning and painting works associated with ongoing building maintenance. Provide support to the Facilities Maintenance team and University contractors. Assist with statutory compliance testing where required. Replace toilet seats and carry out other general maintenance duties. Use computer-based systems for timesheets and work tickets following appropriate training. Undertake other duties within the general remit of the role as directed by the Director of Facilities. We are looking for someone who: Has practical maintenance or facilities experience. Is reliable, flexible and willing to get involved with a range of duties.
