We are recruiting a fitter or a fitters mate for a workshop based in Enderby, Leicestershire, LE19. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that makes bespoke products for distribution both nationally and internationally. This role will be both based in the workshop preparing the products and out on the road fitting high-end worktops and fireplaces.
You will be working with a very experienced fitter and this will involve going to some very prestigious properties, and therefore we are looking for someone with experience in fitting to a high standard and who is well presented with good customer service skills. You MUST hold a valid UK driving licence.
Hours of Work:
- Standard Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am - 16:00pm when based in workshop.
- When out fitting on site there will be earlier starts and later finishes, depending on locations and the job. Flexibility is a must!
- There may be the requirement to stay out overnight.
Rate of Pay: £12.71 - £15.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operating Machinery in a safe manner.
- Use of hand tools to gain required finishes.
- Cutting of materials using hand tools and machinery.
- Moving of materials and finished products around the workshop.
- Supporting in cutting and fitting worktops and fireplaces in domestic and commercial properties.
- Must be well presented due to the high-end clientele you will be working with.
- Hardworking and able to do a manual and sometimes heavy role.
Skills & Experience:
- Hold a CSCS Card.
- Experience of fitting and preparing products.
- Experience of using hand tools.
- Experience in a labouring, kitchen fitting, carpentry or glasswork is beneficial for this role.
- Ability to move and handle heavy materials and equipment.
- Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills.
