We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Designer to join a well-established manufacturing and printing company based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical design background within packaging who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will support both the design and reprographics teams, ensuring packaging designs are production-ready, technically accurate, and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create technical CAD drawings and production profiles including Braille, embossing, foiling and varnish requirements.
  • Support the reprographics team from initial artwork through to final production.
  • Carry out technical checks on tooling requests to ensure suitability for production.
  • Liaise with suppliers and tooling manufacturers regarding technical specifications.
  • Produce layouts that maximise production efficiency across multiple sites.
  • Ensure all customer-facing artwork and packaging designs meet high-quality standards.
  • Support structural design and sampling teams when required.
  • Keep up to date with packaging, machinery and industry developments.
  • Assist with process improvements and adapting to new systems and software.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within packaging, manufacturing or print design.
  • Strong working knowledge of Esko Artios CAD.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive and proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with both on-site and remote teams.
