Siamo Recruitment are working with an established wood distributor based in Cirencester. They are seeking a talented individual to join their dedicated team as a Production Operative.

As a Production Operative you will work collaboratively to ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly and exceeds customer satisfaction. Training will be provided, however experience within a production team is advantageous or from a hands-on background. This is a great opportunity to gain an understanding of the production and distribution industry. This is an exciting chance to work in a fast-paced environment with a team that cares about their product and become a specialist within the role.

Pay: £12.71 - £14.00 p/h

Your role as a Production Operative will involve the following duties:

  • Quality checking all goods throughout and post manufacture
  • Loading raw materials into the production process and potentially lifting/stacking finished pallets
  • Running safety checks on machinery
  • Machine operating safely and efficiently
  • Preparing products for dispatch and loading pallets for delivery
  • Liaising with supervisors with any issues
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Supporting team members regularly
  • General yard duties

The ideal candidate for the Production Operative Position will have:

  • Production operative experience is essential
  • Previous experience working shift patterns is advantageous
  • Quality control experience is essential
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Good attentiveness and a keen eye for detail
  • Full UK Driving License and own transport
  • Physically able to lift up to 20kg regularly
