We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer for our Energy from Waste Plant in Bridgwater.

Role:
Responsible for the performance and maintenance of all electrical apparatus including High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) and C&I, instrumentation and DCS at the facility. As a technician, the role is to make sure that these systems and processes are maintained to a high standard and assisting the Maintenance Manager and Operations team in ensuring reliability and safety of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abide by all company and site safety policies and procedures.
- Report all health, safety and environmental concerns, near misses and incidents via the site reporting system.
- To maintain, inspect and test all equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager, and report any defects or incorrect operation.
- Assist in co-ordinating Mechanical maintenance activities and assist other disciplines where necessary during planned or unplanned shutdowns.
- To work toward the safe and timely repair of failed equipment.
- To investigate and rectify Electrical and C&I faults and minimize plant downtime.
- To recommend plant spares holdings to the Maintenance Manager.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager to manage statutory inspections ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date.
- Support the wider maintenance department and site teams as situations dictate.
- To ensure that all Electrical and C&I equipment is correctly operated, maintained and tested.
- Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the maintenance schedule and report any irregularities.
- Interact with Operations personnel regarding fault finding, test, modification to process equipment, updating of drawings and carry out defect rectification in line with the defect reporting system.
- Liaise with contractors as the need arises.
- Assist with stores and stock control.
- Setting up service contracts.

- Extensive operations experience in the power generation sector. This can include Energy from Waste, CCGT, Oil, Coal or Biomass or time served maintenance discipline.
- Exposure to working in demanding and dynamic environments, with a proven ability to remain calm and offer consistent leadership.
- Knowledge of all relevant facility consents, H&S legislation, safe working environments, safety rules and outages.
