Siamo Group is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers for a client of ours based in Measham. This is a Temp to Perm position with a start date ASAP, working Monday to Friday with no weekends.
Pay rates: £17.50ph
Shift Patterns: 0200am start - Lone worker Monday to Friday
Class 1 Driver job role will include:
- Deliveries and collections of our products/services to and from our varied locations and branches.
- Ensuring all parts of Health and Safety are adhered to, including that your vehicle is loaded securely, all product is handled correctly, and that we meet road transport/traffic legislation standards with any required checks carried out to the appropriate timings.
- Providing first class customer service when delivering to our customer base to ensure that they receive a professional, timely and courteous delivery experience.
This is a lone worker role.
Role Accountabilities:
- Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses, differing delivery points, and via different routes.
- Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects.
- Offering excellent Customer Service at all times to ensure that our customers receive a great delivery experience.
- Use of any of the IT equipment provided and ensuring the completion of all delivery and collection paperwork/systems accurately and promptly.
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers.
- Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration.
- Maintaining a good driving record by always driving the vehicle safely and professionally in accordance with the law including working hours rules.
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness inside and out to present the proper image.
Class 1 Driver requirements and skills:
- You MUST be in possession of a HGV Class 1 license, a valid Driver CPC and DIGI Cards.
- Must have 1 year checkable Class 1 driving work history.
- No more than 3 points on your licence for insurance purposes (no BA/CD/CU/DR/DD/IN offences please).
- Strong work ethic, reliable, flexible, enthusiastic, and resilient are welcomed attributes in this role.
- Handballing & Strapping involved.
- Use of pump truck, sack barrow may be required.
- FLT Licence desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
