Semi Senior Accountant An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Middlesbrough.

This role is ideal for someone with previous practice experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role
Responsibilities include:
Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.

Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax, partnership tax and self-assessment tax returns.

Supporting bookkeeping activities and maintaining accurate financial records.

Ensuring statutory filings are completed accurately and on time, including VAT, PAYE, CIS and Companies House submissions.

Managing client relationships and responding to day-to-day queries.

Assisting with monthly client billing and monitoring outstanding invoices.

Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

Experience preparing accounts and tax returns for a range of clients.

A good understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
