Our client is looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative team at their offices on the outskirts of Richmond, North Yorkshire. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, ideally starting in November to allow for a thorough handover before the current Finance Assistant begins maternity leave in December. The finance and administration function is a close-knit team, with plenty of interaction and collaboration with senior management and Directors across the wider business. Responsibilities: Working as part of a supportive finance and administration team, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, senior leadership team, and Directors, taking responsibility for a varied range of day-to-day finance and administrative duties, including: Preparing and processing invoices and customer statements Completing bank reconciliations Tracking invoices and monitoring due and outstanding payments Maintaining fee and quotation trackers Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for forecasting purposes using Excel formulas and functions Processing and monitoring business expenses Supporting the administration of company phone contracts Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records Providing general finance and administrative support across the business Working collaboratively with the Financial Controller, senior leadership team, and Directors Requirements/Experience: Be working toward, or have achieved, AAT Level 2/3, or have equivalent practical experience Have previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar role Have working knowledge of Sage 50 Xero experience would be beneficial but not essential Be confident using Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and lookups Have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills Be comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative team Have a friendly, approachable, and professional manner For more information, please speak to Nicola at Si Recruitment.
