Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Accountant to join our team in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in accountancy. The successful candidate will be exposed to all core areas of the profession and supported in their development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients

• Support the preparation of VAT returns

• Help with accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

• Gain exposure to personal tax work (primarily at an introductory level)

• Work closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality service to clients

Requirements:

• A keen interest in developing a career in accountancy

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software (experience is a bonus but not required)

• Good communication and organisational skills

Working Hours:

The role is office-based, with core working hours from 10am to 4pm. The office is open from 8am to 6pm, offering some flexibility around working hours if needed.
