We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator in Thirsk to support a busy manufacturing/production environment on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on, site-based role responsible for supporting day-to-day health & safety compliance, assisting with audits, maintaining documentation, and promoting a strong safety culture across operations. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract of up to 6 months, working full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and maintenance of health & safety procedures across site operations
- Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Conduct routine site inspections and report findings with corrective actions
- Maintain accurate H&S records, documentation, and compliance logs
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions
- Help coordinate safety training and toolbox talks
- Promote awareness of safe working practices across teams
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations
