We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join a busy packing team within a well-established produce business. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and will play an important role in helping strengthen the company’s reputation as a supplier of choice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work within a fast-paced environment and who has strong warehouse or stores experience.
Responsibilities:
- Packing fresh produce to required specifications and quality standards
- Labelling and preparing products for dispatch
- Checking produce for quality and presentation before packing
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the packing area
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage organisation
- Supporting the wider production and packing teams as required
- Following all company health & safety and food hygiene procedures
- Ensuring orders are completed accurately and within required timescales
Requirements:
- Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Have good attention to detail
- Be flexible to work overtime when required
- Previous packing or food production experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
- FLT license
Salary: £13.20 - £13.50 per hour DOE
Working hours: 8:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday work required. A day off in the week if a Saturday is worked.
