We are working closely with a business on the outskirts of Thirsk who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The primary functions of the role will span across purchase ledger and payroll, with support across other accounting departments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recording invoices
  • Supplier payment runs
  • Handling supplier statements
  • Resolving any purchase ledger queries
  • Processing weekly wages
  • Maintaining employee records; including calculations, deductions and benefits
  • Supporting audits and year-end processes
  • Remaining up to date on HMRC and PAYE regulations

Experience:

  • AAT or equivalent in experience
  • Previous experience in similar role/s
  • Great communicator and team player
