We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a friendly and supportive accountancy practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who is confident managing payroll for a varied client portfolio and enjoys delivering a high standard of client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing payroll for a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries
  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
  • Handling workplace pension submissions and auto-enrolment requirements
  • Processing CIS deductions and submissions where required
  • Liaising directly with clients and responding to payroll-related queries
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of payroll services

Requirements

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and procedures
  • Experience with: Salary sacrifice schemes, CIS payroll requirements, Workplace pensions and auto-enrolment, Processing payrolls for multiple clients
  • Experience using Sage Payroll software is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Hours

Part-time role initially (approximately 3 days per week). Flexibility to move into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Salary

Competitive salary, dependent on experience and suitability for the role.
