An established and growing manufacturer of premium bespoke joinery is seeking an experienced Spray Finisher / Paint Sprayer to join its skilled workshop team. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-end residential and commercial joinery, producing bespoke products, fitted furniture, cabinetry, doors, wall panelling, media walls and specialist interior joinery. Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a dedicated spray finisher who takes pride in producing exceptional quality finishes.
The Role
Working within a modern manufacturing workshop, you will be responsible for preparing and spray finishing a wide range of bespoke joinery products to an exceptionally high standard. You will work closely with the production team to ensure consistent quality, efficiency and timely delivery across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare bespoke joinery components for finishing
- Prime, denib and apply top coats to a variety of products
- Spray MDF, hardwood, veneered panels, shaker doors and assembled cabinetry
- Apply water-based and polyurethane (PU) coating systems
- Mix colours and maintain finish consistency across production batches
- Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved
- Maintain spray booth cleanliness and spray equipment
- Work efficiently to production schedules while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Assist with paint stock control and consumables where required
You will be an experienced spray finisher with a passion for producing first-class workmanship and a keen eye for detail.
Experience
- Previous experience spray finishing bespoke joinery
- Experience using water-based paint systems
- Strong preparation, sanding and denibbing skills
- Ability to consistently achieve high-quality finishes
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative workshop team
- Good organisational skills with the ability to meet production deadlines
Desirable Experience
- Experience using Renner, Sayerlack, ICA or similar finishing systems
- Experience spraying shaker doors and hardwood components
- Knowledge of polishing, buffing and remedial finishing techniques
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
