The SHEQ Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing the company's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies and activities within the Water Industry. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, promotes a culture of safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement SHEQ Policies: Create and enforce policies to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and industry standards.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk evaluations, implement preventative measures, and manage non-conformance, corrective, and preventative actions.
- Training and Induction: Coordinate with HR to set up safety inductions and training programs for all employees.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with SHEQ-related accreditations (e.g., Achilles UVDB / ISO) and manage external audits.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and manage worker's compensation claims.
- Data Management: Capture, analyse, and report SHEQ performance data.
- Collaboration: Work with operational teams to integrate SHEQ considerations at all stages of projects and operations.
- Documentation: Develop, review, and improve SHEQ documentation, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Certifications: Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly recommended.
- Proven experience in SHEQ management, preferably within the Water Industry or Construction Sector.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and environmental regulations.
