I’m working with a growing accountancy practice in Sheffield that is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA part-qualified accountant, ideally looking to qualify within the next 12–18 months, who is confident managing their own portfolio of clients and delivering a range of accounts, tax and advisory services.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of varied clients.
- Preparing and reviewing complex statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Preparing personal tax returns, partnership accounts and tax returns.
- Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Attending client meetings and building relationships with business owners and directors.
- Supporting and training junior team members, including allocating workloads.
About you:
- ACA/ACCA part-qualified with relevant practice experience.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of mixed clients.
- Strong accounts preparation and tax knowledge, with a client-focused approach.
- Confident managing workloads and supporting the development of colleagues.
- Good IT skills, with experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks; IRIS experience is advantageous.
