Job Description: Senior AccountantLocation: HuddersfieldHours: Full time Salary: £32,000 – £38,000

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant who is either ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification, to join an Accountancy Practice in Huddersfield.

Key Responsibilities:• Able to manage and take responsibility for own portfolio of clients• Preparation and review of complex company financial statements, interim management accounts, personal tax returns & partnership accounts and returns• Review and submit quarterly VAT returns• Forecasts and business projections – not essential• Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners• Train members of staff and allocate duties

Qualifications and Skills:• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification with relevant practical experience.• Proven experience within an accountancy practice, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
