Job Title: Semi-Senior Accountant / Cloud Bookkeeper
Location: Skipton/Keighley
Type: Full-time & Office-based
Salary: £28,000-£32,000
We’re recruiting for a local Accountancy Practice in Keighley due to growing within the team. You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of small businesses, support VAT submissions, and assist with accounts preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain bookkeeping using cloud software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, FreeAgent)
• Submit VAT returns and liaise with clients by phone/email
• Support the MTD process and assist with accounts to trial balance
• Collaborate with senior accountants on financial reporting
• Collect client records as needed (own car and licence required)
Requirements:
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software
