We are working with a well-established manufacturing business located in Middlesbrough who are seeking an experienced and proactive Sales Office Manager to lead their internal sales function and support the delivery of accurate, timely and commercially competitive quotations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, where you'll play a key role in driving sales performance, supporting team development, and ensuring efficient sales office operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Key Account Executive and Internal Sales teams
  • Assist the Sales Manager with the day-to-day management of sales activities, workloads and team priorities
  • Oversee the preparation of quotations in line with commercial procedures, ensuring accuracy before final approval
  • Maintain and improve sales office policies, procedures and best practices
  • Drive enquiry progression, quotation conversion and pipeline management through regular performance reviews
  • Act as a key liaison between sales, estimating, design, production, projects and senior management
  • Maintain accurate enquiry, quotation and order information within ERP/SAP systems
  • Monitor sales KPIs including quotation turnaround times, conversion rates, pipeline movement and forecast accuracy
  • Coach and support team members, promoting excellent customer service, commercial awareness and process compliance
  • Escalate issues promptly and work collaboratively to resolve challenges affecting customer commitments or delivery
  • Review sales incentive applications to ensure eligibility prior to payment
