The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are now recruiting for a Tax Senior to work as part of the Private Client Team delivering Tax advisory projects to our clients, with specific focus on the North East Market. The successful candidate will be based at our brand-new Head Office, James Watson House based in Carlisle.
The main elements of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Having involvement with and being responsible for obtaining information from clients in relation to tax advisory projects as well as communicating with other service lines, keeping them up to date with progress of the project and dealing with/ communicating with third parties.
- Assisting the Private Client Team with the provision of advice to clients including Capital Gains Tax, IHT, income tax planning, business restructuring, estates and trusts and stamp duty land tax as appropriate.
- Supporting clients with their ongoing compliance needs.
- Identifying advisory opportunities from the compliance portfolio.
- Supporting senior tax team in dealing with ad hoc queries from the wider business.
- Keeping up to date with taxation legislation and identify potential issues, bringing those issues to the attention of the Senior Tax Manager, Tax Director/ Tax Partner as appropriate.
- Onboarding new clients and being responsible for drafting risk management documentation on all matters.
The Candidate
In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
- AAT qualified as a minimum.
- A Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable).
- Practical knowledge of Private Client Tax.
- Experience of dealing directly with clients and ensuring they receive an outstanding level of service.
- Excellent communication skills (in both verbal and written form) as they will need to be able to deal directly with clients and colleagues within other service lines across the firm.
- Dealing with adhoc queries from the wider firm when required.
