We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and fast-paced business based in Billingham who is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their busy payroll team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and high attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-moving office environment. The role is initially expected to last around 3 months, with the potential for extension depending on business needs.

The successful candidate will support the payroll department with a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring employee information and timesheets are processed accurately and efficiently across multiple branches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately inputting employee timesheets onto internal systems
  • Processing new starter information and maintaining employee records
  • Handling payroll-related queries from internal teams
  • Liaising with multiple branches regarding timesheets and payroll information
  • Providing general administrative support to the payroll department
  • Ensuring all information is processed with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous administration experience, ideally within payroll or a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with different departments
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

Additional Information:

  • Temporary role initially approximately 3 months
  • Potential for the role to be extended
  • Based in Billingham fully office based
  • Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
  • Working Hours: Monday & Tuesday: 9:00am - 8:00pm, Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm, Friday: Off (may alternate with Thursday off on following weeks)
