We are working with a well-established automotive business to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team in Northallerton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanic or technician to work with modern diagnostic technology, carry out servicing, repairs, and vehicle health checks, and contribute to a high-performing aftersales operation. Full manufacturer training and accreditation opportunities are available, including hybrid and electric vehicle training, supporting long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic tools and technology
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults, including basic diagnostics
- Complete warranty repairs and ensure accurate documentation is maintained
- Fit accessories and carry out minor repairs where required
- Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure quality standards are met
- Complete all job cards, service records, and associated paperwork accurately
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high service standards
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (main dealer or independent garage)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to manufacturer and industry standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Additional Information:
- Salary: OTE up to £50,000 (Uncapped)
- Basic salary: £28,000 - £43,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)

- Time Saved Bonus Scheme
- Working hours: 40 hours between Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm
