A well-established and highly regarded organisation in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Sales & Events Administrator to join their team. They are seeking a candidate who is personable, bubbly, highly organised, and confident when it comes to chasing payments or managing expectations professionally when required. This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, particularly during the summer season when the business is at its busiest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Handling event enquiries including show rounds, quotations, and bookings
  • Generating both proactive and reactive sales opportunities
  • Coordinating all event administration from booking through to completion
  • Issuing contracts, confirmations, invoices, and chasing overdue payments
  • Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey
  • Supporting schedules, staff rotas, reservations, and stock counts
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Assisting on event days to ensure seamless execution
  • Attending meetings, taking minutes, and communicating actions
  • Occasionally covering Front Desk duties and serving customers
  • Supporting the wider marketing activities of the business

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience within business administration, events, hospitality, or sales support
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident multitasker with strong attention to detail
  • Customer service focused with a positive and approachable personality
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach
