An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Financial Planning Assistant to join its Financial Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and client-focused individual looking to build a career within financial planning and financial services.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of administrative and client-facing responsibilities, supporting Financial Planning Consultants and acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
The Role
As a Financial Planning Assistant, you will provide first-line administrative and client support to Financial Planning Consultants, ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and providing relevant documentation to Financial Planning Consultants ahead of client meetings.
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients and responding promptly to queries.
- Liaising with life offices and product providers.
- Maintaining accurate client records on financial planning systems (e.g. Xplan).
- Ensuring compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting the administrative elements of the client review process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally within financial services (desirable but not essential).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage diaries and schedule appointments effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service.
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support colleagues.
- Good general IT skills and attention to detail.
- The ambition to study towards professional qualifications, with full support provided.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
