Are you an experienced IT professional looking for your next challenge? Our client, based in Middlesbrough, is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, implementing solutions, and providing day-to-day IT support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values innovation, professional development, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT data security, ensuring industry best practices are implemented
- Maintain and manage on-site and hosted servers, including security and maintenance
- Manage the network infrastructure, including security, traffic management, and redundancy
- Ensure disaster recovery and backup solutions are effectively maintained
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings
- Provide first and second-line IT support to business users
- Track assets and licenses, ensuring compliance and documentation
- Take ownership of IT projects and liaise with contractors
- Work collaboratively with Group IT and external providers to resolve technical issues
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong Windows server and network administration skills (wired & wireless)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, 365, Exchange, and SharePoint administration
- Knowledge of software deployment, Group Policy, and information security best practices
- Experience with virtualisation, backup systems, and SQL database management
- ITIL certification or equivalent and relevant Microsoft/Cisco certifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

- Generous holiday allowance (25 days + 8 bank holidays)
- Flexible working hours: Monday - Thursday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
