Warehouse &
Logistics Specialist
to join a growing and fast-paced organisation in Northallerton. This is a key cross-functional role responsible for scheduling and coordinating inbound deliveries, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
Reporting to the Goods In management team, you will take ownership of the inbound delivery schedule and monitor key operational KPIs, including OTIF and goods receiving accuracy. This role would suit someone with Supply Chain or Logistics experience who is confident communicating with a range of stakeholders and can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day relationships with Procurement, Suppliers and Third-Party Logistics Providers to ensure deliveries are scheduled, arrive and are accurately processed on time Take ownership of the inbound delivery schedule to ensure a balanced and achievable schedule that meets Production and Logistics requirements Monitor and control goods receiving activities, ensuring inbound materials are correctly receipted through SAP and other systems Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, working with Procurement and Finance teams and taking corrective action where required Manage and analyse operational KPI data, reporting trends, root causes and improvement opportunities to the management team Escalate operational risks and stock issues to internal and external stakeholders and drive timely resolution Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives Support key departmental priorities and peak production periods, ensuring materials arrive on time Complete all procedural requirements and documentation to a high standard Assist other areas of the business with reasonable requests as required Health & Safety Use appropriate PPE as required Follow procedures and risk assessments and highlight non-compliance immediately Report hazards, faults or defects to the most senior member of staff present Follow safety notices and hazard signs and encourage others to do the same Follow COSHH regulations when using chemicals Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others Promote a culture of cooperation around health and safety and lead by example Food Safety & Quality Follow and lead by example to ensure all site hygiene rules are maintained Ensure procedures are followed and appropriate documentation is completed Highlight and address non-conformances at the time of reporting Maintain traceability of componentry and finished stock in the warehouse Support food safety and ensure compliance with company, governmental and customer requirements Key Skills & Experience Supply Chain or Logistics experience FMCG experience is desirable but not essential Confident and enthusiastic communicator at all levels Experience working with suppliers and Third-Party Logistics Providers Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities Able to manage competing priorities and high volumes of unexpected issues Flexible, reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel Experience using SAP or comparable systems Salary & Benefits Salary:
