Bookkeeper
Harrogate Our client is looking for an experiencedBookkeeperto join their team in Harrogate. This is a busy and varied role, providing day-to-day financial support to the business owner and working closely with external accountants. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, supporting credit control, and providing financial information for budgeting and year-end accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who is organised, confident working independently, and able to manage a varied workload. This is a full time position, however they could offer part time hours of 4 or 4.5 days per week The client is looking to appoint as soon as possible, so early applications are encouraged. Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers Managing credit control and outstanding payments Checking payments and updating internal databases Preparing information and documentation for year-end accounts Assisting with the preparation of budgets for Director approval Providing financial information and reports to external accountants Dealing with accounts-related queries Supporting the business owner with general financial administration Skills & Experience Previous bookkeeping experience isessential AAT qualification would be advantageous but is not essential Strong IT skills and confidence using accounting and database systems Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and use initiative Reliable, professional, and well organised Whats on Offer Central Harrogate location with easy access to public transport 25 days holiday, including 8
