An established and growing accountancy practice based in Crosshills (near Skipton and Ilkley) is seeking an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and make an immediate impact.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of small business clients within the expanding cloud accounting department, while also supporting senior team members with accounts preparation.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the receipt and processing of financial data using cloud-based accounting systems
  • Communicating with clients via telephone and email as required
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Organizing and prioritising workloads effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Supporting senior accountants with bookkeeping entries through to trial balance
  • Assisting, where appropriate, with the preparation of management accounts and other accounting tasks as directed

The role would suit a proactive team player with strong attention to detail and a willingness to support colleagues across the department.

Requirements:
  • Solid experience in accounts preparation for a variety of business types, including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, particularly Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Ability to produce accurate and high-quality accounts
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
Additional Information:
  • Full-time position (9:00am - 5:00pm), office-based
  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • 23 days annual leave
  • Company pension scheme
