We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join a dynamic Accountancy Practice on a full-time basis. This office-based role is ideal for candidates looking to develop their career in accountancy, providing opportunities for growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies.
- Assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, and corporation tax returns.
- Undertake bookkeeping tasks and prepare VAT returns.
- Support senior members of the accounts team on more complex assignments.
- Receive study support and guidance towards career progression.
Candidate Requirements:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
- Ideally studying for the AAT qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in preparing accounts for both incorporated and unincorporated businesses.
- Basic understanding of tax principles; additional tax experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in software such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and ideally IRIS.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Conscientious, well-organized, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
