We're looking for an

Accounts Senior Associate to join a collaborative accounts team, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors.

The Role

As an Accounts Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services while supporting managers with the day-to-day running of client portfolios.

Responsibilities include

  • Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements for a broad range of clients.
  • Managing your own portfolio of businesses, partnerships, trusts and other organisations.
  • Supporting managers with the planning and delivery of client work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
  • Taking ownership of a variety of advisory and project-based assignments.
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT and cloud accounting software queries.
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Supporting work planning, scheduling and the efficient delivery of client assignments.
  • Assisting with billing and financial management of client work.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver joined-up client solutions.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team through coaching and knowledge sharing.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • ACA, ACCA, ICAS or AAT qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience reviewing work where appropriate.
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and VAT.
  • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books or Sage would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise competing workloads.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering outstanding client service.
